(YEA !!! – I have not been able
to get in here to update it since May 2007.
While I can now change some of the text, I am unable to change the
pictures and animations. To do that, I
will need to obtain and learn another program – something I am not up to right
now.)
Our personal pictures can be
found by following the menu link on the left, or by using the link at the
bottom of this page.
Now that I can get in here to
update things, I will try to post more recent pictures – stay tuned.

Marriage
After
dating for one year, we were married September 1998 in Kalispell Montana. We met when I (Mike) had gone to a home to
pray for someone very sick. It was there
that I met Leslie. She was a best friend
of the sick person, and was also there to pray for her. We started out with occasional outings, and
lots of phone calls. Our friendship
deepened into love, and we knew we were meant for each other.
A
Little History
When
first married, we lived in Ferndale Montana (outside Bigfork). Ferndale is beautifully situated at the base
of tall mountains, along the Swan River, and near the northern edge of Flathead
Lake. Fishing and hiking were enjoyed
frequently during compatible weather. It
was not uncommon to see bears, wild turkeys, many deer, and elk in the area.
When the
company Mike worked for closed July 2002, we moved to beautiful sagebrush,
rock, and rattlesnake property situated on the rim of the Moses Coulee, north
of Ephrata Washington. Mike took a job
in Moses Lake that fall. The job in
Moses Lake did not last very long, but it gave us an income for the winter.
We were
in a serious auto accident October 2003.
Leslie has recovered from her injuries.
Mike is still undergoing medical procedures in an attempt to piece him
back together. In the almost 6 years
since the accident, Mike has had 12 surgeries.
More are expected. Leslie has had
two arm surgeries, surgical work on her shoulder, and a wrist surgery. (Click here
to see the complete accident testimony.
It is best to download it and not view it online. It is a MS WORD document.)
The
Future
We long
for many things, so pray for much. Our
expectations are high that our future holds opportunities for us to be vessels
for the Lord’s use. The Bible says, “You
receive not because you don’t ask.
Therefore ask!” We are asking for
fellowship, health, purpose in the Lord, and many more years together as a
couple. We know our prayers are being
heard by our God – and our God loves us.
Therefore, our future is bright and it will be exciting to see it
unfold.
Our hope
is to start to produce teaching videos for the Internet and for DVDs. Our home video studio is primitive, and I
have a lot to learn regarding video editing.
However, with time and practice we should have some posted on GOOGLE
VIDEOS and YouTube. Our Google Video
name is “shoutquietly” and our YouTube name is “shoutsoftly.”
X-rays
taken February 2009 show Mike’s right femur bone has not healed. The Orthopedic Surgeon at the Spokane VA said
Mike should have another surgery on his femur.
Additionally, his hips need replacement, especially the right one. His neck bone spurs are digging into his
spinal cord and hindering the use of his hands and arms. The VA said he does “not yet” need neck
surgery to correct the three offending vertebrae.
