A Testimony by Leslie – August 2005

How can we thank Jesus enough for reconciling us to Yahweh our Father God?  Can we ever praise Him adequately for the undeserved salvation He has freely given?  Special is a life spent with Jesus.  But why?  Miracles, healings, blessings, assurances of eternal life, deliverance from bondages and personality transformations are all wonderful components of a walk with Jesus.  However, it is the ongoing and growing relationship with Jesus that sustains me through the trials of life, giving me a rest, a peace, and a joy I could not fathom or comprehend let alone experience as an unsaved person.

Can we put a price tag on the fact that we are going to go to heaven?  As an unsaved person I searched for a satisfaction this world could not provide.  I had no idea that Jesus was what I lacked.  Can I ever thank God enough for making Himself known to me, a person who had no understanding that Jesus was the Savior?

Along with any losses we experience, we gain insight into our life priorities with a transforming revelation:  Our circumstances, possessions, financial status, or health is not who we are.  Our value is measured only by the quality of our relationship with Jesus.  Our ongoing heartfelt communications with Jesus, and our willingness to align ourselves with Him obediently, are what define our worth in the sight of God.

Above all else, our deepening love for Jesus is the essence of our being, and the purpose of our life here.  No longer alienated from God, the immense relief I experience walking with Jesus is an unsurpassed pleasure, which far exceeds anything I knew before I came to know Him.
